A good book should leave you... slightly exhausted at the end.
You live several lives while reading it.
~William Styron, interview, Writers at Work, 1958
Your Story
A really great book will stay with you forever, probably because you couldn't put it down. You were captivated by the first chapter and couldn't wait to keep moving forward in the book to find out what would happen next. There were twists and turn that you did or did not see coming but that didn't stop you from continuing on because you knew there was more to the story! After one chapter ended, you breathed a little sigh of relief and then dove right into the next one with great anticipation. You laughed, you jumped at certain parts and you might have even cried along they way. At the end you closed the book, sat back and said to yourself, now that was incredible!
So why aren't you living your life like a great novel? You should be engrossed in your own story turning the pages of your life like you do a great book. You would never let yourself stay on one chapter forever so why do you do this in your own life? You should be learning, growing and letting your story build on itself so that at the end you can look back on your life and say, now that was incredible! Give yourself the greatest gift and live your life like it was the best novel you could have grabbed on your shelf to read.
