“The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood,
the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars.
We are made of starstuff.”
~Carl Sagan, Cosmos
Stars
Do you ever close your eyes at night and feel so alone? Do you sometimes feel so detached from everything and everyone around you? Do you ever wonder, do I really matter? Well the answer is simple. Yes, you do. You matter so much that you play such an intricate role to the fabric of the universe.
Do you know that you are made of the same material that stars are? When you see one star by itself, it's beautiful but when you take a moment to adjust your vision and allow yourself to see as much of the sky as you can, what do you see? Thousands of stars in your vision. Each one unique and beautiful yet together they create a magnificent bigger picture.
We are no different than stars. We each have a purpose, a reason for shining in the space that we are in. But we are also a part of a bigger vision and as we shine our lights brightly together in our world, we are breathtaking to behold.
Don't ever dim your light or forget how important you are; for you are made of starstuff!
