Exhale

Exhale

Have you ever held your breath for a few seconds and then deeply exhaled? What do you instantly feel? That would be relief! For a second your body relaxes, your shoulders soften and you realize the only thing you need to do for the next few seconds is just breathe and be in the stillness.

Life is like holding your breath at times. The pressure can slowly build and if we don't release it, it can get to a breaking point, well let's be real honest, YOU will get to a breaking point. Most of us live our lives releasing just enough pressure to not boil over but not enough to really bring us back to calm. We run from thing to thing, task to task, putting out as many fires as we can either in our personal lives, at work or most likely both while never taking moment to release the pressure ... and then we do it all again the next day.  

But there is always a moment to choose to exhale, fully and deeply exhale.  Let this be your moment ... and just maybe allow yourself to lean into that.
