Letting go means to come to the realization that some people
are a part of your history, but not a part of your destiny.

Let Go of the Old
Too many times we hang on to our past. We grasp it so tightly that no matter what we do, where we go, or who we meet, our past also becomes our present. We place it right next to us like a neon sign blinking "hey look over here, I'm carrying around my past & my pain" and for what exactly? Why do we allow our past to walk beside us in our present? It's simple; we haven't yet let it go. Well this is about to change right now - not anymore and not past this moment. What do you need to let go off in order to open up your life? What have you been carrying around with you that it's overdue to let go off? What burdens, hurt and pain can you lay on the floor and finally walk away from? Whatever comes to your mind first, is the very thing you need to let go of. Letting go doesn't mean you forget but what it will give you is freedom from the feelings that are weighing you down. When you hold on to old wounds, you hurt only one person - yes that person is always you and no one else. You owe it to yourself to finally throw down all of what has not been working for you and leave it there. Don't go running back to pick it up again. You deserve to treat yourself better than that. You and only you have the power to change your life. Make the decision today to let go of the old and leave it where it belongs, in the past!
