Ground Yourself
When you feel off balanced, out of sync or just plain scattered, it's time to ground yourself! Grounding helps you bring instant calm and peace into your life. It helps focus your energy in a more positive way. Grounding is very simple. With your eyes closed, take a few deep breaths in and out. Concentrate on your breathing as you inhale in and exhale out slowly. Picture a cord ~ any cord you choose (a rope, a braid, a plug, a root, a vine, etc.) ~ that starts at your belly button and extend down out through your feet and goes straight through to the center of the Earth. Feel it grip a hold with strength and stability that plants your feet firmly on the ground. Then picture a bright warm light above your head that slowly descends down through you, through your cord and flows into the Earth. Take a few more deep breaths in and out. Slowly open your eyes and know that you are now grounded. You can now face decisions with clarity, problems with calm and chaos with peace.
