Lessons

I love to think of nature as
an unlimited broadcasting station,
through which God speaks to us
every hour, if we will only tune in.

Lessons
After a storm has passed, there is a deafening silence.  It's as if everything is frozen in awe and time is standing still.  It is in this moment that we can feel so connected to life and to something much greater than ourselves.  It is then that we are at our most vulnerable and most powerful. This is where we can find our center and calm just like the storm.  There are lessons in everything; it's our  job to realize what they are and grow into better human beings.  Our lives are just like the weather.  They can be unpredictable, turbulent at times or peaceful and full of sunshine.  It changes every day, sometimes several times a day.  But there are lessons in everything and if you aren't taking the time to reflect, it will be much harder to grow, learn and enjoy your journey.  You are not here to just survive.  You are not here to "get through" the storms of your life.  You are here to learn.  Let me say that again, you are here to learn.
