Your Story

Your Story

There is only one you on this Earth. Your story is just as unique as your fingerprint and yet not many people know it. You keep it close to your chest. Sometimes there is a need to do that and other times there is a need to share it. Being vulnerable and sharing who you are can bring great healing to another person. Many times we are of the belief that no one will understand or know what you went through but there is will be someone whom your story will touch deeply.  Maybe it will even help them start to heal from theirs and in the telling of your story, you will find you find another deeper healing in your own. Our stories and shared experiences are what connects us. Be vulnerable enough to share your with the right people. You just may set others and yourself free.

Be Gentle with Yourself

Be Gentle with Yourself

We are in a time of great upheaval. Our world has been turned upside down for almost a year with little end in sight. We are exhausted both physically and mentally. Yet, we still are expected to show up in life like before, or sometimes even stronger. Whether it is to help others in our personal life or even our professional life, it seems that we are asked to be doing more and to pivot as a moments notice without being able to process all this change. We are managing more than what anyone of us can truly handle for a sustained period of time and yet here we are not only doing it but also trying to find normalcy. This is an extraordinary experience that we are all living through and most of us, maybe all of us, are just trying to survive. Do yourself a favor and be gentle with yourself. Now is not the time to get frustrated. Know that you are doing the best you can right now in this moment. Give yourself a moment to breath, take a quick walk, walk away from the technology for a few minutes, and give yourself the space to find your center. It is there. It has always been there, it just got silenced with all the loudness around us. This is your permission to let yourself off the hook of being perfect in a pandemic and to just be - whatever that means to you - and know that who you are right now in this moment is more than enough.
