Change

When the student is ready, the master appears.
~Buddhist Proverb

Change
Things happen to us that are beyond our control. Usually it's something we are not necessarily prepared for, or so we think, and we find ourselves in the midst of a hurricane. It's hard during these times to not get lost in the chaos, in the emotion and in despair. But like with all hurricanes, there is an eye in every storm. Our goal is to make our way quickly to that space. Once we do, our vision becomes clearer, we can see this change for what it really is and can start to navigate our way out of it with the lesson we have learned that have prepared us for such an occasion. During this time, well your creativity is high, your vision is wide and you possibilities become endless. Stay focused on finding the calm within the turbulence and not only will you find a way out but you will find that you are exactly where you need to be!

Morning

Just before dawn I have the world all to myself.
~Terri Guillemets

Morning
The morning is a sacred time.  It's a new beginning.  How you wake up and approach your day will set the tone for the entire day ahead.  Whether you have 5 minutes or 20, make sure you take a few deep breaths, visualize how you want you day to go and lead with affirmations. By grounding yourself from the start, you will open up your heart to possibilities and have peace no matter what ends up happening around you.  Practice starting your morning in this way and watch your life transform.

Friendships

A good friend is a connection to life — a tie to the past, a road to the future,
the key to sanity in a totally insane world.
~Lois Wyse

Today's Daily Pearl is dedicated to my "Christina Yang".

Friendship
There is nothing in life like a really good friend. Someone that calls you at the exact moment you need them. Someone who knows your heart. Someone that knows your past.  Someone that knows your potential. Someone that knows how to celebrate with you.  Someone that knows how to curl up next to you when times get tough. Everyone needs a friend or friends like that and they can be anyone from a family member to a college friend. Cherish them. Tell them you appreciate their caring, support and kindness for they make the world a more comfortable place to be. Call them, text them, email them, Facebook them, instagram them and tweet them right now.  Tell them how much they mean to you and how your life is so much better because they are a part of it.

Match

Joy is a flower that blooms when you do.
~Anonymous

Match
Do you ever feel like what's in your heart is not being mirrored in your life?  You know you can love big and yet you are being loved small. You know your talents are endless yet they being confined to a cubicle. You know you thrive in a warmer environment and yet you are buried under a foot of snow. If you look around and think, what my life looks like is not what is resonating with my heart - well then it's time to make the connection between the two. You create your life and not from the outside in (although too many of us do). Creating your life needs to start from within, start right at the heart of the matter. Get clear on who you are, what you want your life to look like and then unleash that energy into the world. Fear has a nasty habit of stopping us or we allow it to stand beside us while we create our life but guess what? It has no place there! Don't design your life based on fear. Design your life based on what you feel in your heart, what you know you can do, what you feel rising up from your soul. When your heart and what you create on the outside match, there will be no stopping you!

Rear-View

Don't spend to much time looking in the rear-view mirror,
you might just miss your entrance ramp to something better.
~Mary Sierra

Rear-View
When you first learn to drive, you are taught to look in the rear-view mirror to make sure you see what's happening behind you. This allows you to see a situation before it reaches you. At the same time you also learn that your laser focus should be on the road in front of you, glancing in the rear-view just to make sure you have the whole picture. Let's all take a page from our driving instruction an apply it to our own lives. It's okay to glance every so often into our past, for their are lessons and information we need to help us move our life forward. But we can't get stuck on looking back, for we will miss our exits, entrances and the turns that lay before us. Our vision & focus should be on what's happening in our forward view. That's how we get to where we need to go. Here's to looking through the windshield of our lives rather than the rear-view mirror all the time!
